ADAMSON FORD JOINS MAY 20TH NASCAR DAY CAR WASH BENEFITING TORNADO RELIEF

Car Wash Fundraiser to Benefit  NASCAR Foundation and Tornado Relief Victims

Birmingham, AL (May 20, 2011) —  In an effort to help the victims of the devastating tornados that struck the Southeastern United States, Adamson Ford will unite with Dealers Choice-USA and NASCAR for a nationwide NASCAR Day Car Wash. Proceeds will be donated to the Christian Service Mission to benefit those communities and organization involved in the rebuilding efforts.

Adamson Ford Car Wash Tornado Relief event will be open from 11am-3pm on Friday May 20. For a $10 donation, attendees will receive a car wash and a NASCAR Unites wristband. NASCAR Unites wristbands showcase supporter’s passion for this cause and encourage volunteerism in local communities.

Funds raised through the NASCAR Day Car Wash will benefit The NASCAR Foundation local charities working to help the victims recover from this tragedy. Dealers Choice-USA and The NASCAR Foundation are committed to helping communities that were affected through Dealers Choice-USA and the NASCAR Unites campaign; they have set the goal to raise $20,000 from as many as 20 dealerships in the southeast.

On April 27, 2011, storms ripped through the southeast killing hundreds and leaving thousands homeless. Employees of Adamson Ford are saddened by what happened and feel that “it is our civic duty to help out any way we can” and “are proud to be a part of this conglomerate effort to assist the victims and their families,” says General Manager Tony Russell. “I am really proud of how our employees have come together to help those in our community who were affected by the devastation of the storms. We have been inspired to do everything we can to help rebuild our state and NASCAR has presented a great partnership for Adamson to help accomplish these goals,” adds Marketing Director Sarah Israel.

Kim Rylee from Dealers Choice-USA. “It is horrible what has happened, and we know there are a lot of people who want to help, this event is a great way for fans and local residents to do just that. They can come out and help those in need just by letting Adamson Ford wash their car.”
Products donated by 3M Company include car wash and waxes which are the Official Car Appearance Products of NASCAR and will be used at each Car Wash for Tornado Relief. For more information, visit http://www.adamsonford.com, http://www.dealerschoice-usa.com, and http://www.nascar.com/unites.

About Christian Service Mission

Christian Service Mission was established in 1970 by Johnny Lynch, a born-again Christian truck driver and volunteer for Jimmy Hale Mission. Mr. Lynch opened a small mission on the southside of Birmingham and was there until the mid '80s. From this small mission came Hannah Home for abused women and their children, and Bethany Home for troubled women. Later the homes were transferred to The King's Ranch while CSM continued its food programs.

Christian Service Mission has entered a new era with a new vision for the next forty years. They see CSM as a valued partner with organizations that are transforming our City. The slogan is "Connecting Resources with Needs."
